From Daddy to just plain old Dad….

My daughter is growing up. She recently found out that she’s pretty as boys from school keep asking for her number. She’ll be discovering make-up soon and I can’t do anything about it. The days of her teenage years are here – and I’m dreading it.

I think it’s every father’s worry that his daughter would discover boys when she comes of age. How old is the age I’m talking about, I don’t know. My daughter has it now that just turned thirteen. Yeah, I know – typical for hear age but hey, I can’t help it – I’m a father and an old fashioned one at that despite my skin-head-and-earrings appearance.

I got a call early this morning from a friend of mine, and I mean an early call (5:00am). I’m usually awake by that time so I took the call. What was the call about? He was asking me (from 5,000 miles away) if he should discard his P&S and jump on the DSLR bandwagon. Jeez.
